Abstrakt: The article presents a study on the epidemiology of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) in Thousand Islands Regency of Jakarta, Indonesia. HFRS is a rodent-borne zoonotic disease caused by hantavirus infection. For this study, 170 rodents were captured in 2005. Among these rodents, 15.9% were antibody-positive against hantaan virus antigen in an immunofluroscence assay (IFA) and Western blotting.
