The article deals with a study which examined changes of intraocular pressure (IOP) undergoing anesthesia in Rhesus Macaques with Laser-induced Ocular Hypertension. Topics discussed include the importance of IOP control during intraocular inspection, and ways to prevent unexpected contraindication on glaucoma patient with isoflurane anesthesia. Also mentioned is the effect of ketamine anesthesia on IOP. |
