Abstrakt:
The article presents a case study of a 29-year-old female western lowland gorilla having low fertility and a case of midterm abortion. It was found that the gorilla had not conceived in several years despite having undergone breeding with a male. Cardiac ultrasound, reproductive examination and phlebotomy were performed to assess the condition of gorilla. Medical examination revealed obesity with large amounts of abdominal fat.
