Abstrakt: Zhou Wenwei as one of the most famous owners of publishing houses in Jinling in 17th century, engraved and published 23 kinds of books in his all lifetime, in which there were 6 kinds of vernacular novels as more than a quarter of the total number of books he engraved. There were 20 kinds of books carved by Jinling Daye Tang, while other two came out from Guangji Tang and Wanjuanlou, and one without the publishing house name. Zhou Wenwei's father Zhou Tin-ghuai, his brother Zhou Liangjie, his son Zhou lianggong, and his grandson Zhou Zaijun all had been engaged in the activities of engraving and publishing books, who had an important influent position for ancient novels publishing and dissemination.
