Abstrakt: The article offers information on the evolution, history, and significance of the rules for the admissibility of expert testimony under the Daubert trilogy of judicial opinions by the U.S. Supreme Court including Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals Inc., General Electric Co. v. Joiner, and Kumho Tire Co. v. Carmichael. It informs that Rule 702 of the U.S. Federal Rule of Evidence was amended by the Supreme Court to strengthen the standards for expert testimony.
