Abstrakt: The article focuses on early childhood education in Trinidad and Tobago. According to the Ministry of Education education provided at pre-primary centres is not in accordance with standards prescribed by the ministry. It mentions that factors which have helped in centre-based education include extended family as a support for single mothers, minimum wage law and women's participation in work.
