| Abstrakt: | The article examines the life and work of the contemporary textile artist Cynthia Read. Particular focus is given to her work designing a shawl for Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, which was offered to him as a gift from the nation of New Zealand (NZ). Additional topics discussed include how Read is from the North East of England, Great Britain's history of fiber arts and her work in yarn spinning. |
