| Abstrakt: | The article alleges that the progressive mask of the administration of Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos has been unmasked by recent events. It reports about the August 25, 2013 arrest of trade union leader Huber Ballesteros, who joined 7,00 political prisoners in the country. It also argues that the Santos administration is continuing to persecute peaceful protesters and violently represses trade unionists as Colombia is rocked by strikes throughout the summer of 2013. |
