Abstrakt: The article discusses aspects of the inclusive and bilingual education for the deaf in Brazil, considering the "National Policy on Special Education in the Perspective of Inclusive Education" and the Decree 5.626/05. It says that while the policy promotes deaf students' inclusion in the regular school system, the Decree No. 5.626/05 advocates the separation of deaf education from special education. It also explores the differing provisions between such documents on bilingual education.
