The article discusses the emerging threat on Israel's borders from al-Qaeda and considers how Israel should prepare to this threat. It notes how the governmental gap created in Egypt between former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak's ouster and establishment of a new government led by President Mohamed Morsi allowed global jihad elements take advantage of the new situation. It cites the need for Israel to prepare defensively against the danger brewing on the Syrian border. |
