The article discusses the military operations initiated by U.S. President Barack Obama to end the civil distress in Afghanistan. During Obama's presidency, he decided to substantially enhance the military forces of the U.S. in Afghanistan after the terror attacks in the U.S. in September 11, 2001. His goals for the military deployment include the defeat of al-Qaeda, end Taliban's operations and help the Afghani government build its security infrastructure. |
