The article discusses the National Genetics Education and Consumer Network (NGECN) initiative led by the U.S. nonprofit health advocacy organization Genetic Alliance, which advocates for health care for people suffering from genetic disorders. NGECN is a three-year initiative funded by the U.S. Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA). Resources that focus on empowering individuals and families are discussed, such as the informational website GenesInLife.org. |
