News briefs pertaining to the governments of nations in central Eastern Europe are presented. A government corruption investigation in the Czech Republic is discussed as is the subsequent resignation of Czech prime minister Petr Nečas, plans for the payment of 300 million Euros to the Romani of Slovakia are examined, and a gaffe regarding the Hungarian government made by German chancellor Angela Merkel is described. |
