Abstrakt: In this article, the authors analyze motivic permutations and structural trends of the Première rhapsodie, a piece for accompanied solo clarinet, by clarinetist Claude Debussy. They inform that motive appears in retrograde with the addition of the F on the downbeat of measure 12 and there are two interlocking permutations of the motive. They also mention that there is a crescendo at the end of measure 109 but it is not present at the end of measure 113.
