The article focuses on Pacific Islands Climate Change Cooperative science coordinator Jeff Burgett, who is among the speakers of a meeting organized by professor Peter Vitousek of Stanford University. He says that two concepts of conservation are the protection of habitat, and the restoration of lost cultural traditions and species. He adds that the lowest islands of the archipelago's northwestern part are going to be affected by storms. |
