| Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on racial identity of Indians in social studies in U.S. It states that the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) has failed to integrate anti racist principles. It reports the efforts of teacher Marlo Mayshack who contributes to prepare authentic unit for Indian heritage so that students could embrace the heritage. It also states that the teachers must be ready with content knowledge and theoretical base to teach against racial stereotypes. |
