Abstrakt:	The article provides information on the changing demographic characteristics of Nepal through an analysis of the country's 2011 census. Focus is given to such areas of demographic change as population growth, the country's ethnic makeup, linguistic diversity, and religious identification. The author notes such changes as an increase in Nepal's working age population, growth in the number of ethnic/caste groups, such as the Chhetri, and a rise in the speaking of mother tongues.
