Abstrakt: Introduction: Oral verrucous carcinoma (OVC) is a low-grade variant of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). It has distinctive morphology and specific pattern of behaviour. It is often diagnosed in elderly patients. Resection is the treatment of choice, with radiotherapy as an alternative. Methods: Review of patient medical report. Results: We present our experience and outcomes in a patient with OVC who had not been treated conventionally considering her age and her poor general condition. Radiotherapy is considered in this case when operation is not feasible. After two- year duration she came with recurrent disease confirmed to be a SCC transformation. Chemotherapy with methotrexate was given and after the period of eight-month treatment the lesion was disappeared. Conclusion: In some instances where surgical option is considered not applicable, methotrexate chemotherapy was observed to be beneficial. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
