The article examines dram shop liability in the U.S. that establishes the liability of establishments arising out of the sale of alcohol to visibly intoxicated persons who subsequently cause injury to third-parties. It describes the statutory provisions in New Jersey regarding damages resulting from the negligent service of alcoholic beverages. It discusses the New Jersey Supreme Court case Voss v. Tranquilino in which the plaintiff sued the establishment that served him alcohol. |
