Abstrakt: Current design of curing module for latex ink printer are based on a hot air impinging system. Warm up lime from ambient to 120 C has been reduced considerably from initial IR system of around 7 to 8 minutes, to 3 or 4 minutes in current hot air impinging systems. Thermal inertia of the curing module and heating efficiency are key parameters to reduce that warm up time. Despite these improvements the warm up process is not very efficient because a lot of energy is lost being sent to the environment. This is due to limited heat transfer between the warm air and the metal chamber of the impinging system. This disclosure consists of a specific heating device that warm up the internal chamber of the curing module just by putting the energy directly to those parts instead of warming up the internal mass of the curing module just using the hoi air heater modules. This device can he formed by flat electric resistor modules attached to the internal faces of the curing module. Warm up time in latex printers use to be longer that in solvent printers and in water based inks (non latex). This can cause the lime to complete a first plot to be relatively long [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
