| Abstrakt: | The article features Savannah Jensen, a Lakota Indian junior student at Red Cloud High School on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota as of 2013. She plays varsity basketball and serves on the student council and still finds time to volunteer, babysit and do typical teenager activities. Jensen looks up to her grandfather and mother, who she describes as a strong and compassionate woman. She hopes to become a doctor and researcher. |
