The article offers cooking tips from readers of the magazine. To prevent wooden skewers from burning, Michael Vaughn puts the sticks in a wine bottle filled with water and cover them with cork before cooking. Jessie Robinson keeps her asparagus fresh and crisp by trimming the ends and setting them upright in an inch of water. Maria Driscoll puts a cube of bread in frying oil before turning on the stove and when the bread turns golden brown the oil is ready for frying. |
