The article discusses the things that respiratory therapists need to know about the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Provides and Systems patient satisfaction survey (PSS) developed by the U.S. Centers for Medicaid and Medicare. These include the importance of listening to patients and acting on their requests, the potential effect of hospital policies on PSS scores, and the value of addressing the medication and side effects questions at every patient encounter. |
