The article discusses a study which evaluated the ivermectin resistance in gastrointestinal nematodes of goats from 27 unorganized farm flocks in Tamil Nadu, India from October 2010 to October 2011. Faecal samples were collected from 15 goats each from the 27 farms. Faecal egg count reduction was calculated and analysis was carried out. Results revealed that 23 farms were found to be resistant, four showed suspect resistance, and two were susceptible. |
