| Abstrakt: | The article reports on the recent development of hospitalist services in the U.S. as of June 2013. Despite the initial reluctance to adopt such services, it is noted that they rose to nearly 75% of inpatient admissions. The trend is accompanied by a growing number of employed physicians in the country, which is considered as one of the important changes that have confronted the medical profession after healthcare reform. |
