Abstrakt: The article discusses efforts of researchers to better understand the spread of hemorrhagic disease (HD) caused by the epizootic hemorrhagic disease (EHD) virus and the bluetongue virus (BTV) that affect livestock operations and deer populations. Animals infected with EHDV or BRV tend to lose their appetite and develop a fever and severe lethargy. Research will continue as wildlifers struggle to understand the mysteries of HD as managers take measures to protect wildlife populations.
