| Abstrakt: | A reprint of the article "Electrical words and symbols: a brief history" by Geoff Auty which appeared in a 2012 issue of the "School Science Review" is presented. It discusses the use of notation P=mf in physics as well as in applied mathematics by earlier authors. It informs about the principle followed for symbols is perhaps using lower case for denoting specific quantities and upper case symbols for total quantities. |
