Abstrakt: |
An essay is presented on the themes in the male African novel in relation to the political, economic, and social realities prevailing in Africa in the twenty-first century. It says that political preoccupations have been the focus of the African novel written by Chinua Achebe, Ayi Kwei Armah, and Wole Soyinka. On the other hand, young African male writers including Benjamin Kwakye, Alassan Mansaray, and Brian Chikwana put emphasis on personal and social experiences of both children and adults. |
