Abstrakt:	The article discusses the British charity Friends of African Nursing (FoAN), which delivers education to perioperative nurses in Africa. Topics include the objectives of the charity, such as cooperation with national and specialist nursing organizations and interest groups, the challenges for African health care systems, such as poor infrastructure, and surgical care conditions in operating rooms (ORs) in Africa.
