Surveillance of Ongole Cattle in an Organized Farm against Infectious Diseases.

Abstrakt: The article discusses a study in which surveillance was undertaken at Lam Farm in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh in India to record certain infectious diseases of Ongle cattle. It describes the use of the purified protein derivatives tuberculin and Johnin to test the animals against tuberculosis and (TB) and Johne's disease (JD). Diagnostic tests also revealed that the cattle were also free from infectious bovine rhinotracheitis/infectious pustular vulvovaginitis (IBR/IPV).
