Abstrakt: The article focuses on street gangs in the U.S. which are gathering in malls to expand their criminal activities. It describes the behavior of gangs at the malls wherein they strategically place gang members and graffiti in a certain area to let other gangs know who are in control and drive away competition. It notes that gangs are gathering in malls to recruit more members, sell narcotics and control the community's black market. It discusses how gang conflicts at malls have led to deaths of both gang members and mall goers. It also offers tips for mall owners and security personnel to minimize the risk of gang-related violence.
