In this article several medical professionals, including registered nurse Charlotte L. Guglielmi, surgeon Ramon Berguer and surgical technologist Sherri Alexander, offer their opinions on a question which asked about challenges that surgical team members encounter in implementing sharps injury prevention strategies in their facilities. The views that the Association for Perioperative Registered Nurses have about the prevention of sharps injuries are discussed. |
