Abstrakt: | The article discusses research which was conducted to investigate the effect salsa dance sessions had on balance, gait and fall risk in a sedentary 84 year old female patient with Alzheimer's dementia, multiple comorbidities and recurrent falls. Researchers found that the dance sessions led to improvements in range of motion, strength, balance, functional mobility, gait distance, and speed and a reduction in fall incidence. |
