Influence of Loads and Opperating Conditions on the Harmonic's Currents Flow in Large Medium Voltage Distribution System.

Abstrakt: This paper presents an analytical study in the frequency domain of a medium voltage power distribution system. The objective of this study is to determine the influence of the loads and operating conditions on the harmonics currents flow. Current amplifications occur at frequencies adjacent to the resonant frequencies. These resonant frequencies and broadness of the resonant curves depend on values of customer loads and operating conditions of the utility network. The harmonic spectrum for the loads is ascertained and the current injection is represented by a Norton's equivalent circuit. Then, for unit current injection in each point the calculated currents and voltages are presented as frequency function. Useful conclusions for analysing the propagation of harmonic distortions are derived. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
