The article discusses the laws related to health care for children with autism in the U.S. It describes the history of autism and its prevalence in children and explains the treatment options available especially applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy. It reflects on difficulties posed in acquiring health care for persons with autism as well as new bills proposed by the federal government to ensure access to health care for those with autism. |
