The article presents a case study which discusses the ultrasonographic diagnosis and surgical management of an accidental ingestion of mango seed in a dog. A 4 months old male Dalmatian puppy was referred with a history of inappetance, depression, and lethargy for a week and vomition for two days. A C-shaped hyperechoic contour of the mango kernel was observed with ultrasonography leading to a condition as intraluminal foreign body obstruction. The dog was prepared for laparotomy. |
