Abstrakt:	The article discusses the traditional uses of root extracts of the herb Echinacea angustifolia and clinical trials which have investigated the benefits of extracts of Echinacea purpurea and Echinacea angustifolia. Medical conditions, including respiratory infections, septic fevers and nephritis which Echinacea has been used to treat, are discussed.
