The article focuses on a report related to parasitic copying (PC) in the European Union (EU) which reveals that the European Commission Enforcement Directive (ECED) does not lead to harmony as implementation and enforcement of the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive was left to member states. As per report in Germany the number of cases of PC increased because of the country being an attractive jurisdiction to claimants. The report states that in Italy there is no law for preventing PC. |
