Abstrakt:	The article discusses denials of class certifications, damage awards, and mass tort settlements in the U.S. as of November 2012, focusing on an analysis of the ethical aspects of settlement negotiations and Rule 1.8(g) of the American Bar Association's Model Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys. The options available to clients in mass tort settlements are addressed, along with an examination of U.S. products liability litigation and all-or-nothing (walkway) settlement clauses.
