The article describes a study of five paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) cases with no accompanying structural heart disease, with dormant thoracic vein conduction linked to recurrent atrial tachyarrhythmias. Elimination of the dormant conduction gaps resulted in patients freed from recurrent arrhythmia. Results show adenosine triggers dormant thoracic vein conduction linked to the late recurrence of atrial tachyarrhythmias after an earlier thoracic vein isolation. |
