Abstrakt:	The article relates the author's efforts to uncover the story of her great-great grandmother Mrs. Dr. Rebecca J. Keck and great-grandmother Cora Keck. Rebecca Keck described herself as the proprietress of Mrs. Dr. Keck's Palatial Infirmary for All Chronic Diseases, but she was accused of being a quack. The author conducted her genealogy research for her book "The Quack's Daughter" using the diary of Mrs. Keck's daughter Cora, newspaper advertisements and photo albums, among others.
