Abstrakt: The article details two separate observations of the deaths of two nesting Scissor-tailed Flycatchers (STF) caused by entanglement in high-density polyethylene mesh on nest construction in Oklahoma. The first event happened on July 1, 2010 and involved a female STF which was found hanging by a mesh on a fence in Lawton. The second observation involved a male STF which was found hanging by his left leg from a mesh that was part of the outer framework of his nest on the Cameron University campus.
