The article discusses ways to create and follow rituals or symbols to commemorate an individual's transition to the second half of life. This second stage in a person's life consists of events that transpire from his or her retirement to death. This stage is the turning point for most of these individuals and a phase that is characterized by uncertainty and loneliness. It is advised that those related to these individuals participate in simple ceremonies of closure. |
