The article discusses that the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) has asserted that physical agents modalities (PAM) may be used by occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistant to enhance engagement in occupation. It discuses the physical agents which includes Superficial Thermal Agents and Deep Thermal Agents. It discusses the principles that must be applied to the use of PAMs. |
