The article discusses the deaths and secret burials of British soldiers and members of the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) police force in County Clare, Ireland during the War of Independence from 1919 to 1921. It examines the deaths of Private George Robertson, Constable Daniel A. Murphy, Private George Duff Chalmers, and Private R.W. Williams. The author addresses the involvement of the Irish Republican Army's (IRA) East Clare Brigade and comments on later attempts to recover the bodies of the deceased. |
