Abstrakt: The article presents a study on the detection of hepatitis E virus (HEV) in a captive wild boar in Thailand. The authors studies various types of wild boar in zoos and wildlife breeding research station in the country. They collected 51 fecal samples from the wild boars, which was tested for HEV RNA. They revealed that the virus as HEV genotype 3, under the subgroup 3e, using phylogenetic characterization. They state that the virus is associated from those isolated from domestic pigs and humans in the country.
