Abstrakt: The article reports on protection from projectile hits in the most dangerous part of a ballpark and the greatest likelihood of injury from a foul ball in major and minor league stadiums. Major League Baseball foul balls killed 10 on the third base line, unlike the backstop behind home plate identified in the New Jersey legislature's 2004 spectator safety act as the most dangerous. The study calls for screening, helmets for coaches and research on variables such as batter and pitcher types.
