Abstrakt: Reading-on-the-same-page uses a well-chosen piece of focus text at an instructional level to explicitly teach text processing and reading comprehension strategies as well as subject content. Students are given opportunities for repeated reading as they 'linger longer' or revisit a text to develop fluency and accuracy, expand vocabulary, deepen comprehension, engage in thoughtful dialogue, provide chances for higher order thinking and critical reflection on the text and themselves as readers. Reading-on-the-same-page aims to develop readers with the skills to independently and willingly access texts of increasing complexity across all the learning areas and beyond. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
