'A Treatise on Detectives Playing': The Medieval Player as Sleuth in the Novels of Margaret Frazer.

Abstrakt: An essay is presented on the modern medieval detective fiction in the novels of Margaret Frazer. It explores the significance of Frazer's character Joliffe the Player in the novel "The Servant's Tale" on the medieval drama classroom in which undergraduate students to envision can envision realities of medieval acting and representation. It also notes the usefulness of Frazer's books as supplemental materials in classrooms and in engaging reading for students on medieval literary originals.
