An essay is presented in which the author discusses the findings of an article published in the journal concerning U.S. presidential rankings and partisanship. The author argues that historians who participate in U.S. presidential rating polls and surveys exhibit their personal and political biases in ranking individual U.S. presidents. The author also presents a hypothesis for the formation of U.S. presidential reputations. |
